Political activist, Guardian columnist and author – few thinkers currently command as much respect and interest on the left as Owen Jones.

As well as being a prolific political and social commentator, Owen is the author of two important books – Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class, and, most recently, The Establishment, and How They Get Away With It.

Owen and Alex Sobel go a long way back. So we’re delighted to welcome Owen to Otley on November 15, as Alex gears up to his campaign to win the seat in 2015.

In these two audiences he will be speaking especially about his most recent book, but also about the political challenges facing us today and his ideas on how we can create a fairer and more equal society.

The Otley event is at The Bridge Church (United Reformed Church) Hall, Cattlemarket Street, Otley, LS21 1BQ at 10.30am

Then Owen’s going into Leeds to talk to people in the Leeds end of our Leeds NW constituency. That’s at the Sagar Lecture Theatre, Rosebowl, Portland Crescent, Leeds LS1 3HB at 1.30- 3 p.m

Both events are free, but there will be a bucket collection to cover the cost of the room.

Please sign up (below) to be sure of getting in.
